PRP (platelet rich plasma) is also known as “collagen induction therapy,” it is a skin treatment to renew the collagen in the skin. It is a more natural approach than using Botox and dermal filler as you are using your own blood to produce the new collagen from the plasma produced in the centrifuge. It is then injected back in to the skin. At our clinics in Harley Street and Putney our experienced consultants use a combination of micro-needling with injections of PRP in to the skin. This dramatically improves the quality and texture of your skin. PRP makes your face look renewed and youthful without the risk and reaction to outside fillers and chemicals.
What is P .R .P?
PRP stands for platelet rich plasma.
How does PRP work?
We take a small vile of your blood and put it into a centrifuge machine for ten minutes. This will separate the red blood cells and concentrate the platelets, which are suspended in the smallest final volume of plasma.
Then, using small injections, we first inject the platelets into the skin of the face to help produce new collagen this is then followed by micro-needling for maximum coverage we then massage the remainder of the serum in to the face. The injection and serum contains the concentrated blood plasma. This contains around five times the amount of platelets found in normal circulating blood. Platelets contain important growth properties that help promote the regeneration of cells, including the production of collagen. PRP has been used for decades in the medical field to speed wound healing or restore damaged body areas and is now used as a natural method to achieve facial skin rejuvenation.
The treatment will be conducted under clinical conditions from our reputable Harley Street location, administered by our fully trained professionals.
